This question is not easy to answer and depends on individual circumstances. The wider model was the first one we launched on the market. After some feedback from customers at our trade fairs who found the collar too wide, we decided to develop a narrower version.
Our two sizes differ only in the width of the collar. The circumference of both models can be individually adjusted from approx. 27 cm to approx. 52 cm.
The narrower version is the all-round model and fits around any neck. It is therefore more suitable for changing partners, as the wider version may be too high for some people. If the collar is to be worn for hours on end at a party, the narrower version is the more comfortable choice, as it can otherwise cause pressure points on the jaw or neck.
With the narrower version, the feeling of pressure is more localised and some people find it more intense.
The higher model is somewhat more restrictive and can be uncomfortable to wear for longer periods, especially if you have a short neck. However, if you like it a little tighter, have no problem with a somewhat restricted head position and use our collar for ‘short-term home use’, you should tend towards the larger version. That was the actual intention behind the development of our collar.
All in all, as already mentioned, it is a very individual decision as to what preferences or tolerance limits the wearer has. We have men with a rather long neck who opt for a narrower model, and women with a rather short neck who opt for a wider model due to the constriction.
